COVID-19 Information

Jackson Hospital is committed to the River Region community as we stand on the frontlines fighting against COVID-19. Keeping patients healthy and safe is central to our mission. The Jackson Hospital staff remain consistent in year-round emergency preparedness training; as our protocols to care for patients ensures the safety of hospital staff, visitors and the community. Additionally, we are working closely with the Centers for Disease Control and the Alabama Department of Public Health to coordinate pandemic response efforts.

8-10-2022: We currently have 13 positive COVID-19 inpatients who are being cared for using the appropriate CDC recommended isolation protocols. Positive cases of COVID-19 within our facility will be reported to the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Centers of Disease Control, as mandated. As COVID-19 is a rapidly evolving public health situation, we recommend if anyone has been diagnosed or suspect they may have contracted this virus, self-quarantine until they can be tested or they are symptom-free for a total of seven days.

All patients, visitors, and staff entering a Jackson Hospital & Clinic facility are required to wear a face covering at all times during their visit or while receiving care.

Visitor restrictions and additional safety protocols have been increased throughout the hospital and we thank the public for helping us reduce the number of persons entering our facilities.
