In celebration of National Heart Month (February) and the American Heart Association’s national Go Red for Women program, Jackson Hospital is going red for women by literally creating a visual sea of red. Starting on the night of Thursday, Feb. 5, around 6 pm we will convert the outdoor lights on the hospital campus to illuminate in red, and they will remain red throughout the weekend. Employees will also be wearing red shirts to show their support of this important cause on Thursday and Friday.
Heart Disease is the leading cause of death in women in the U.S. Go Red for Women celebrates the energy, passion and power we have as women to band together and wipe out heart disease. Thanks to the participation of millions of people across the country, the color red and the red dress have become linked with the ability all women have to improve their heart health and live stronger, longer lives.
Help join the movement to conquer heart disease, and encourage others to do the same. Help us spread the message to friends, families and coworkers.
