Jackson Hospital Honors and Memorializes Loved Ones This Holiday

Hospital news | Wednesday, November 21, 2007

Annual Lights of Love Ceremony Held December 4th

WHAT: The Jackson Hospital Foundation would like to cordially invite the Montgomery community to participate in the annual Lights of Love celebration. The Trinity Presbyterian Church handbell choir, under the direction of Stephen Morris, will present a special Christmas program. Award winning soloist Steffi Ledbetter of Auburn will also be featured. Among many honors achieved by the 13-year-old, she placed third in an international vocal competition in Montreal. Next year, she will perform in Columbia, SC before an audience of 18,000.

WHEN: Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 6pm

WHERE: Jackson Hospital main lobby

WHY: This is our special way of honoring and memorializing loved ones during the holiday season, which can be a difficult time of year for those enduring an illness or suffering the loss of a loved one. It is also a charity event. For a contribution of $15, you can have a symbolic light placed on the Lights of Love tree that sits inside the hospital’s main lobby to honor and/or memorialize your loved ones. For a generous donation of $100 or more, a beautiful miniature Moravian star will be placed on the tree.

Each year a department at Jackson Hospital is earmarked to receive funds raised. This year proceeds from Lights of Love will benefit the Mom and Baby Center for an expansion of the infant nursery.
