Jackson Hospital Announces Vice President’s Retirement

Hospital news | Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Jackson Hospital announces the retirement of longtime vice president Edward C. Scholl. Scholl joined the hospital in 1985 and served as the hospital’s vice president of finance. He leaves the organization on April 10, 2009.

During his 24 year tenure, Scholl was instrumental in helping Jackson Hospital grow to meet the health care needs of Montgomery and the Central Alabama region. Among his many accomplishments, he oversaw the financing of a major hospital expansion in the late nineties as well as the new Jackson Surgery and Jackson Imaging centers in 2008. He also served as the head of The Jackson Clinic, the hospital’s group of 11 primary care physician practices.

“Ed’s fiscal acumen is of a rare caliber. His commitment to Jackson Hospital and to the community is to be commended,” offered Don Henderson, Jackson Hospital president and CEO. “We thank him for his many years of service and for positioning Jackson for much future success.”
