Jackson Hospital was selected one of the nation’s most improved hospitals in Thomson 100 Top Hospitals®: Performance Improvement Leaders. The honor was recently announced in Modern Healthcare magazine.
The award was based on the organization’s hospital-wide culture of performance improvement over five consecutive years. Objective statistical national comparisons show Jackson Hospital improved each year, at a substantially faster rate than peers across the United States.
Clinical outcomes, patient safety, efficiency, financial stability and growth were measured by Thomson Healthcare in an independent study involving nearly 3,000 hospitals across the United States.
"We are very proud of the efforts of our hospital staff members in achieving this important recognition in our quality journey,” said Jackson Hospital CEO Donald G. Henderson. “I would like to thank all of our staff. It is great to obtain recognition for what we already know - that Jackson Hospital consistently provides compassionate, high quality care to the citizens of Montgomery and the surrounding areas."
Karen Holland, RN, JH director of quality and regulatory compliance, added, “Our focus is to continuously look for opportunities to provide excellent care for patients who choose Jackson as their hospital.”
Thomson 100 Top Hospitals® was formerly known as Solucient 100 Top Hospitals. Thomson Healthcare acquired Solucient last fall.
