Jackson Hospital Celebrates the Season
Jackson Hospital Foundation’s annual celebration of the holiday season is marked by the lighting of a beautiful Christmas tree adorned with thousands of twinkling lights in honor of, and in memory of family and friends.
This year’s celebration will take place Thursday, Dec. 4, at 6pm. The tree-lighting ceremony will be followed by a reception. Christmas music will be presented by pianist Wilburn Ingram of Frazer United Methodist Church with vocals by the Montgomery Youth Chorale, under the direction of Joel Gregory and Becky Taylor, artistic director.
Proceeds from this year’s Lights of Love will benefit the McGough Oncology Center on the hospital’s third floor. A complete renovation of the unit was made possible in part by a gift to the foundation from the estate of John Van McGough.
For each contribution of $15, a symbolic light will be placed on the Lights of Love tree to shine brightly during the month of December. For a donation of $100 or more, a beautiful miniature Moravian star will be placed on the tree. This year donors will also have the option of purchasing a beautiful angel for a contribution of $500.
All honorees and/or their families will receive invitations to the tree lighting ceremony where a touching ceremony commemorates the occasion.
We invite the community to celebrate the holiday season and invest in the health of our community by honoring a caregiver, friend, business associate or family member.
