Josephine Davis, retired donor

Former Jackson Hospital nurse Josephine Davis retired 17 years ago, and she is still committed to improving the hospital through the Jackson Hospital Foundation.

“I worked there for almost 25 years,” she said. “I have an attachment there. When my family goes to the hospital, that’s where we go. That’s why I still give.”

Davis was a supervisor in labor and delivery, and she knows the value even a small contribution can make to the hospital. “My gift is just taken out of my check each month,” she said. “It’s not much—just $25 a pay period, but I don’t miss it. I want to keep giving. Every little bit helps.”
