Volunteer Program at Jackson Hospital
Jackson Hospital volunteers can be helpful to you and your guests in many ways. They join us in the belief that the health and welfare of the community is our top concern. Our volunteers work throughout the hospital and the Jackson Imaging Center assisting patients and visitors. You can identify them by their blue volunteer smocks or blue volunteer blazers.
Volunteering at Jackson Hospital is a rewarding experience. Volunteers must be at least 19 years old and are asked to work 4 hours a week. They must complete an application and pass a background check and health screening.
Junior Volunteer Program
Our junior volunteer program consists of volunteers ages 14 and older during the months of June and July. The junior volunteer program is for high school and college students who have a passion for helping others and wish to learn more about the medical field. Junior volunteers are asked to volunteer at least (1) 4 hour shift per week and must complete an application, pass a health screening, and attend a mandatory orientation.
