Basic Life Support Provider
Anyone who needs to know how to perform CPR in a healthcare setting can take this course. The BLS provider’s course prepares healthcare professionals to recognize several life-threatening emergencies and to provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course includes adult, child, and infant rescue skills in both in and out of the hospital settings.
Cost: Free to Jackson Hospital employees Book cost- $15 (Loaner books are available for a deposit fee equal to the cost of the book.
For Jackson Hospital Employees ONLY: The course is free, if you attend or cancel your registration according to attendance guidelines. BLS Provider Manual is available for purchase ($15) or loan (deposit $15) in advance in the Education Department.
For Non-Jackson Staff: - The cost of the course is $30 paid by CASH OR CHECK at the beginning of the class. AHA requires books; the cost of the book is an additional $15. It may be purchased in advance in the Education Department. Total $45.
