Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider 12.14 8:00 AM
Any current active healthcare provider can take this course. The recommended prerequisites are: Performing BLS CPR skills according to the 2015 AHA guidelines; reading and interpreting ECGs; understanding ACLS drugs; and performing BLS and ACLS surveys.
This course is designed to give students the opportunity to practice and demonstrate proficiency in skills used in resuscitation including airway adjuncts, performing high quality CPR, using an AED, and a monitor/defibrillator. Students will practice the application of these skills in simulated cases and will practice in both team leader and team member roles.
Cost: Free to Jackson Hospital employees.This course is only open to Jackson Hospital staff for this class
ACLS provider manual is $41 and is available for purchase or loan (deposit $41)

Since the material now reflects the 2015 AHA guidelines, it is required participants take the pre-course assessment and have a passing score of 70% before attending the course. To access the pre-course exams, participants may look on the inside cover of the provider manual to get the student code and password. Print the certificate of completion and bring to the class. ACLS Provider manuals are available for purchase or loan in the Education Department on the second floor of the South Building.
