This a progressive course (renewal and provider). This course is designed to give students the opportunity to practice and demonstrate proficiency in skills used in resuscitation of children and infants including airway adjuncts, performing high quality CPR, using an AED, using a monitor /defibrillator, and placing an IO for IV access. Students will practice the application of these skills in simulated cases in both team leader and team member roles.

For Jackson Hospital Employees ONLY: The course is free, if you attend or cancel your registration according to attendance guidelines. All staff members must now register for the course through E-learning.

For Non-Jackson Employees: - The cost of the original course is $150 paid for by CASH OR CHECK at the beginning of the class. The cost of the PALS renewal course is $100. The cost of the PALS provider manual is $46.50. Requirements to participate in PALS:

1.Complete the PRE-COURSE assessment with a passing score of 70% before attending the course.

2.Bring a copy of the pre-course assessment certificate to class. Proof of completion will be required to be allowed in the class.
