This class is to certify healthcare professionals in CPR/basic life support. The BLS provider’s course prepares healthcare professionals to recognize several life-threatening emergencies and to provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course includes adult, child, and infant rescue skills in both in and out of the hospital settings. At the completion of this class, you will receive a certification that is valid for two years. There are no pre-course requirements for this class.

For Jackson Hospital Employees: The course is free if you attend or cancel your registration according to the attendance guidelines. All staff members must now register for the course in E-learning.

For Non-Jackson Hospital Employees: The cost of the course is $35 paid for by cash or check. BLS provider manuals are available for purchase. The cost of the BLS Provider Manual is $15.
