At Jackson Hospital we understand that cancer treatment can be an overwhelming experience. Our highly trained staff is conscious of and compassionate toward a cancer patient's special needs.
The Jackson Hospital McGough Oncology Center is the focal point for a unique specialized care program for cancer patients and their families. Our center takes a multidisciplinary team approach to cancer treatment, making it possible for nursing staff and other professionals in the healthcare field to focus their attention on the special needs of these patients and their families. Jackson Hospital also maintains a cancer registry through our Health Information Management.
We are currently in the process of renovating the 3North oncology center thanks to a generous gift that was left to the center when John Van McGough died last year. This is an accumulation of months of planning and anticipation. Patients have been temporarily relocated to 4 tower while the renovation is in progress. Jackson Hospital is looking forward to the long overdue renovation that will provide comfort, relaxation, and a healing atmosphere to our oncology patients.
